Images 1 - 2: (A) Beautiful set of 12 silver-plate dinner forks in their protective bag. Stamped on the back of each: WM ROGERS & SON AA (*AA denotes a higher quality plating thickness compared to standard silver-plate.)
This Fiddle pattern refers to the classic design that has a tapered handle with a ridge (resembling a violin) and a shaped tip. The twelve (12) forks measure 6⅞” and are in wonderful condition. These forks date from one family’s ‘special event’ use from the 1930s.
Two forks have back-stamps: WM. A. ROGERS A1 ® and ENGLAND – HARDWARE (high quality, close design).
The complete set of 12 is offered for just $85 (incl. the vintage bag) (Image 2 shows other’s price for one fork)
Image 1: (B) - Twelve (12) large silver-plated soup spoons, back-stamped NIAGARA SILVER CO A1. (*A1 means was covered with a thick, high-quality layer of silver.)
