Hiring: CPA – Senior Tax Accountant (Contract Role)
Location: 425 Britannia Rd E., Unit 135, Mississauga, ON (On-site)

Position Type: Independent Contractor (Through Agency)
Contract Term: 1 Year (Possible Extension / Direct Hire Based on Performance)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Flexible)
Note: Occasional weekends during peak tax season

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review personal and small business tax returns (T1, T2, T3, GST/HST)

Provide tax planning and advisory services

Review junior staff work and ensure CRA compliance

Handle audits, notices of assessment, and CRA correspondence

Improve workflow and operational efficiency

Stay updated on Canadian tax laws and CRA policies

Mentor junior staff and collaborate with management

Support client relationships and business growth

✅ Required Qualifications

CPA designation (Completed or in Final Stages Preferred)

Minimum 5 years of tax accounting experience (Public Practice Preferred)

Strong knowledge of Canadian tax (T1, T2, T3, GST/HST)

Experience with non-resident or cross-border tax (Asset)

Team leadership/supervisory experience

Experience with TaxPrep, Profile, FutureTax, and QuickBooks

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple deadlines

Excellent communication and customer service skills
