A Medium Format Strobe Bracket for your manual or auto-focus Mamiya 645, AFD, AFD-II film cameras, or for your Mamiya DF or Phase One DF and Phase One XF body. This fits all of them, with the main central thread-on mount and two pins to secure it; making it a rock-solid fit for any mentioned body.

I have an extra one of these, brand new in the box, from a kit that I no longer utilize.

What It Does...and does extremely well...

These medium-format cameras are robust, and thus on the heavy-side... and often heavy-to-one-side.
Add a lens of any extra weight, and one is forced to really grip the left side of the camera harder, making the entire hand-held more cumbersome when maneuvering and operating camera controls simultaneously.
What I have found, is that this allows the left hand to relax more, while also adding more wrist and arm strength into the picture taking experience.

In addition... when navigating the camera in vertical portrait-mode, the bracket's additional mechanical advantage, allows for more subtle and accurate framing with the camera turned on it's side for portraits.
It becomes more stable as well; as one has their left arm beneath the bracket grip and an elbow tucked-in against one's lower body to stabilize everything for eliminating camera jolts and unwanted vibration.
