The Sony SRS-XB13 extra base wireless speaker is in my opinion one of the best mini speakers out there! Not only is it easy to connect, its lithium battery also allows for ongoing use for up to 16 hours before having to recharge it.

Although I bought two thinking that sound would be even richer, I was amazed at the wide-ranging quality of just the one speaker. It's sound diffusion processor spreads audio in practically any surrounding, be it indoors or outdoors, as it tends to expand acoustics for a much richer sound. And if you are like me in that you prefer a clear sounding speaker that does not muffle or distort because of trying to emphasize heavy base, this is a must unit!

And the fact that it is compatible with voice assist functions for smartphone, such as Siri, Google App is another bonus. It works great with both my phone and laptop.

Having used mine for quite some time, this speaker is very durable and waterproof. Unfortunately, I learned this the hard way when a friend of mine did not notice that my speaker was in my jacket pocket before she hurriedly through it in the wash. It was only after I was removing the clothing that I noticed it. Fearing that it would never work again, I allowed it to dry overnight. I was amazed when I turned it on the next day and it worked as if nothing ever happened. So I can attest that it truly is waterproof and with its UV coating it can take a beating! After this event, I decided that it would be safe to use it during kayaking, at the pool, and other water events such as relaxing by the pool and hot tub.

Its design and removable multi way strap makes the speaker easy for carrying around. So be it for sitting in the backyard, working on my laptop, hiking, or jogging, the size and portability is great!
