KITCHEN HELP WANTED FOR CARIBBEAN RESTAURANT

REQUIRED AVAILABLITYYou must have full availability from Tuesday to Saturday with flexibiility to work both day and evening shifts, or the full day.Hours:Day shift - approx.11:30 am to 8 pm WHAT YOU'LL DO You will be moving between the front and back of house throughout your shift.Main responsibilities include:- preparing, assembling and bagging food orders, including phone and online delivery orders - operatingt Point of Sale system; accurately enter orders and process payments- assisting with food preparation and light cooking using kitchen equipment such as dough sheeter, flat stove, potato peeler, mandolin, weigh scale- cooking meats on live fire wood grill - performing regular inventory checks and ensuring that there is sufficient quantity of food, packaging, etc.at all times- washing dishes, removing trash, sweeping- collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations- adhering to food safety and sanitation standards QUALIFICATIONS- excellent English - attention to detail; excellent memory and organizational skills- able to follow directions, take initiative and assemble orders quickly and accurately- cashier/point of sale system experience - able to multi-task and work under time pressures without becoming overwhelmed - able to walk, stand in place and perform repetitive manual tasks for extended periods- able to lift, move and carry items up to 50 lbs., including up and down a flight of stairs- able to work well independently and with others Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
