Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced CPA – Senior Tax Accountant to manage personal and corporate tax engagements while ensuring full compliance with CRA regulations. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership ability, and experience in handling multiple client files in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review personal and business tax returns (T1, T2, T3, GST/HST)

Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients

Review junior staff work and ensure CRA compliance

Handle CRA correspondence, audits, and notices of assessment

Improve workflow and operational efficiency

Stay updated on Canadian tax laws and CRA policies

Mentor junior staff and support management

Build and maintain strong client relationships

Support business growth initiatives

Requirements

CPA designation (completed or in final stages preferred)

Minimum 5 years of tax accounting experience (public practice preferred)

Strong knowledge of Canadian taxation (T1, T2, T3, GST/HST)

Experience with non-resident/cross-border taxation (an asset)

Leadership or supervisory experience

Proficiency in TaxPrep, Profile, FutureTax, and QuickBooks

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple deadlines
