We are thrilled to announce we are celebrating 37 years this February and here is our Guest Speaker for the upcoming Positive Thinkers’ Breakfast on Saturday, February 28th, 10:00-11:30 AM at the Royal Canadian Legion, Pleasantville.
✨ Introducing Laura Aguirre Polo
�Laura is the Manager of Amal Unite & Empower, a workforce and economic development initiative dedicated to strengthening Newfoundland and Labrador. Originally from Colombia, Laura’s inspiring journey has taken her across three countries, and she now proudly calls St. John’s home. Her career is rooted in social impact, equity, and community building, with a focus on immigration, gender equity, and economic inclusion.

What to Expect:�Laura will share her deeply personal and uplifting story that spans Colombia, the United States, and Newfoundland and Labrador. Beginning with a simple act of kindness from a stranger, her journey highlights the power of courage, resilience, and community. Laura will explore how diversity, immigration, and inclusion strengthen local communities and drive economic growth.
Guests will leave inspired and reminded that even the smallest acts of kindness can create ripple effects far beyond what we imagine.
