Haliscape Construction is actively hiring an experienced Skid Steer (Bobcat) Operator to handle commercial snow clearing in the Dartmouth area for the remainder of the winter season. If you have solid seat time and want to maximize your hourly earnings during storm events, this is the perfect casual, on-call role to supplement your income.
Pay: $26.00–$32.00 per hour
Location: Dartmouth, NS
Job Type: Casual, Seasonal, On-Call
Your Responsibilities:
- Skid Steer Operation: Safely operate a skid steer to clear snow from commercial parking lots and driving lanes.
- Site Navigation: Maneuver carefully around curbs, parked vehicles, and pedestrian walkways.
- Ice Control Support: Apply salt or ice melt materials when required.
- Safety First: Perform quick visual equipment checks and maintain high situational awareness.
Requirements:
- Machine Experience: Proven, professional experience operating a Skid Steer/Bobcat.
- Transportation: A valid Class 5 Driver’s License and a reliable personal vehicle. (Public transit is NOT an option during winter storms).
- Storm Availability: Must be available on-call 24/7 during forecasted weather events (overnights, early mornings, weekends).
- Legal Status: Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident. We do not provide sponsorship for work permits, PR, or the AIP.
