Housekeeper – Senior Home Support (Casual / Part-Time)

Omera Care is launching a new Senior Housekeeping and Home Support Program designed to help seniors and individuals remain safely and comfortably in their own homes. As we expand our services, we are looking for an experienced and professional cleaner who can play an important role in helping establish and support this new housekeeping service.
This position is ideal for someone reliable, experienced in residential cleaning, and committed to providing respectful support to seniors in the community.

Position Overview
Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Housekeeper will provide high-quality cleaning and home support services to clients in their homes while ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
The successful candidate will also assist in helping develop and maintain high standards for housekeeping services as Omera Care grows this new program.

Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping & Cleaning
Clean and sanitize client living areas, kitchens, and bathrooms
Vacuum carpets and sweep and mop floors
Dust furniture and wipe surfaces
Empty and clean garbage containers
Make beds and change linens
Maintain general household cleanliness and organization

Safety & Client Support
Follow safe cleaning practices and proper use of cleaning products
Identify and reduce potential safety hazards in the client's home
Ensure floors and surfaces are safe for clients after cleaning
Report any safety concerns or maintenance issues to management

Communication
Preferred language is English
Maintain respectful and professional communication with clients
Report any incidents or concerns to the Program Manager
Assist with identifying improvements for the housekeeping program
Participate in team meetings or training sessions when required

Qualifications
Minimum Grade 12 education required
Minimum 1 year of housekeeping or cleaning experience required (residential, commercial, or institutional)
Knowledge of safe cleaning techniques, products, and equipment
Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, and light lifting

Job Requirements
Work will be performed in clients' homes
Travel between client locations is required
Valid Driver's License required
Access to a reliable vehicle with minimum $2 million liability insurance
Police Vulnerable Sector Check required
