In collaboration with Vancouver Island University Theater Department, Butterfly Theater is
Casting for the role of Johnny in a one week run of Terrence McNally's Frankie & Johnny in Nanaimo. This is a two person, two act play and will be performed in an intimate theater studio.

CHARACTER JOHNNY
Age range late 30s to mid 40s
He's in shape
Johnny is charismatic, persistant, passionate, witty and a tender nature
An ex con who learned how to cook while in prison for forgery. He is starting over in his middle age and is deeply lonely. He's honest and deeply invested in emotional connection. He's determined to make a new life and forn a lasting relationship with Frankie. He's not looking for a fling.

We prefer a professional actor for this role but if you feel you have the chops and have the confidence and experience of carrying a play please submit !
