Job Posting: Landscape Technician
Location: Durham, ON
Compensation: $19.50 – $25.50 per hour (Depending on experience & Crew Lead status)
Employment Period: Seasonal (May 1st – October 1st)

The Role:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Landscape Technician to join our team in Durham. This role is for a skilled professional who is not only a hard worker but also mechanically inclined enough to handle daily equipment upkeep. Blackdog Landscaping & Services is looking for someone who takes pride in their work and can keep the workflow moving, whether working with the crew or solo.

Key Responsibilities:
* Perform high-level landscape maintenance, including mowing, edging, trimming, and pruning.
* Equipment Maintenance: Must be able to change a trimmer head/line and perform basic field maintenance on handheld power tools to ensure minimal downtime.
* Work Independently: Manage specific tasks or smaller job sites efficiently without constant supervision.
* Assist with softscape installations (planting, sodding, mulching) and basic hardscape projects.
* Maintain a clean, professional, and organized job site.

Requirements & Qualifications:
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional landscaping experience is required.
* Technical Skill: Proficient in operating and maintaining landscape equipment (specifically the ability to swap/re-string trimmer heads).
* Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently and stay on task.
* References: Must provide at least one professional work reference.
* Physical Ability: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
* Weather Resilience: Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions (heat, rain, cold, etc.).
* Assets: A valid G License and a Clean Driving Abstract are considered strong asset.
