Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and hardworking Landscape Maintenance Crew Lead and Labourer to join our team. As a Crew Lead, you will oversee a team of landscapers, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards. If you enjoy working outdoors, leading a team, and creating beautiful landscapes, we want to hear from you! Wages are based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of landscape maintenance crew members.
• Perform daily tasks such as mowing, trimming, weeding, edging, and blowing debris from landscaped areas.
• Ensure all landscaping maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to understand project needs and provide status updates.
• Manage and maintain equipment, ensuring it's properly cared for and in good working condition.
• Provide guidance and training to crew members on proper landscape maintenance techniques.
• Maintain a high standard of quality and attention to detail in all work performed.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in using ride on mowers (Toro, Walker, John Deere), hand trimmers, hand mowers backpack blowers
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of landscape equipment and tools, and the ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (ability to drive company vehicles as needed).
• Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude, even in challenging situations.
