Heavy Equipment Mechanic

YSB Rentals Inc. is seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Mechanic. We specialize in telehandlers/Rotos, and you will benefit from our provided continuous training, coaching, and will be able to use your creativity to work on innovative projects.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40Hours/week. Subject to over time.

Main Responsibilities
 Complete diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on our equipment while maintaining the highest standard of safety and quality, in our shop and on road service calls (company vehicle provided for these calls)
 Complete work orders and other required forms using our company web-based system and ensure work is coded correctly for invoicing. “Three C, complaint, cause and correction”
 Electronically look up parts, manuals, schematics, etc.
 Communicate with office necessary parts to complete a repair.
 Conduct safety checks on equipment, including delivery and pick up sign off reports.
 Perform recalls and service bulletins.
 Occasionally work as part of a team to complete larger scoped repairs.
 Communicate with the office regarding delays in repairs and challenges.
 Keep neat and organized records of services and work in process, using our task-based company communication calendar.
 Keep workspace neat, organized, clean, and tidy, including fully stocked service truck for scheduled and emergency calls.
 Demonstrate professional, respectful behavior with staff and clients.
 Follow overall company policies, including vehicle, inventory and safety guidelines.

Requirements and Skills
 Preferably be licensed (310S) Or posses equal experience.
 Valid drivers license, driving record also required.
 Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
 Oral and written English, French is an asset
 Experience reading schematics (Electrical and hydraulic) is preferable.
 Strong knowledge in hydraulic, electric, and diesel engines.
 Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
 Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
 Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
 High level of comfort in using a computer daily.
 Good organization and time management skills.
 Results-focused.
 Customer service oriented.
 Ability to lift heavy components and work in various weather conditions.
