We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their emotional, social, and cognitive development. This role requires a strong commitment to early childhood education principles and the ability to engage effectively with children and their families.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment for all children.
• Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their individual growth and development.
• Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
• Maintain organized classroom materials and resources to facilitate learning activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
• Attending staff meeting and professional development opportunities as needed.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents as requested.
• Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
Experience
• Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) - must be a member in good standing with the Ontario College of ECE.
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR (Level C)
• WHIMS
• Current immunization and health assessment as per the local Minister of Health Requirements.
• A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills and effective time management abilities are essential for managing classroom activities.
• Proficiency in computer operation for documentation and communication purposes is beneficial.
• A genuine passion for nurturing children's development and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all learners is crucial.
