For sale is a rare Classics Illustrated comic book rack, 3 pocket made of stiff cardboard. Large staples and slots have made the stand a very secure, stiff and strong stand for comic books. Each pocket can hold 20 comics. These were used in drug stores, small convenience stores and comic book stores back in the 1960's and early 1970's. The sides list in fancy styles, the names of many of the Classics Illustrated books published by Gilberton between 1941 - 1971. Note the price back then .......25 Cents. Collectible items like this were treasured by serious collectors of Classics Illustrated.
I got this one off EBAY in the late 1990's for $125 US. It was a welcomed addition to my collection. There's still a few CI collectors around but I'll probably end up selling it on ebay.
