Circle of Hope

St. Catharines,
Posted 2 weeks ago
Description
Circle of Hope is a Café Church initiative started in St. Catharines to support our community. It is a faith based, drop in program where people from all walks of life are welcomed to come as they are. The gathering provides a safe and compassionate space to share burdens, seek encouragement, and find hope together—especially during times of crisis or transition.

While rooted in the Christian faith and explicitly aligned with The Salvation Army Canada’s mission—“to share the love of Jesus Christ, meet human needs and be a transforming influence in the communities of our world”—Circle of Hope is open and welcoming to all. It honours each individual’s journey through respectful listening, prayerful reflection, and shared conversation—upholding our territorial values of Hope, Service, Dignity, and Stewardship in practical, person centred ways and without discrimination. During our first gathering, a Muslim woman attended and shared that she felt deeply welcomed and truly loved the experience, affirming the inclusive, grace filled spirit we strive for as part of an “innovative partner, mobilized to share hope wherever there is hardship, building communities that are just and know the love of Jesus.”

At the heart of Circle of Hope is a shared emphasis on reaching out to a Higher Power during times of crisis, trusting that guidance, strength, and renewed hope are available when life feels overwhelming—an expression of our Canadian territory’s commitment to share hope and transform lives across the communities we serve.
