Assistant Manager of Staff Housing

Position reports directly to the Housing Manager

The candidate is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of staff housing properties, ensuring safe, and well-maintained housing for tenants. This role combines property management, tenant relations, and administrative oversight.

Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations of housing properties or units
Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and property inspections
Ensure compliance with housing laws, regulations, and safety standards
Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and conflict resolution
Oversee move-ins/outs
Develop and implement housing policies and procedures
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Work with community organizations and support services when needed

Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience in property management, housing services, hospitality field or a related field an asset but willing to train the right candidate.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Organizational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to handle conflict and sensitive situations professionally
Proficiency in office software and property management systems

Education
Diploma, Degree or Certificates in Business Administration, Property Management, Social Services, Hospitality or related field (preferred)

Work Environment
Office-based with regular on-site property visits
May require evenings or on-call availability for emergencies
