Job Opportunity – Kitchen Support Staff (Multiple Positions) – CFB Gagetown, NB

Location: Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Gagetown, New Brunswick
Duration: April 30, 2026 – December 7, 2026
Employment Type: Contract / Shift-Based

Position Overview:
We are looking for reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Support Staff to assist with daily food service operations at CFB Gagetown. Successful candidates will help with meal prep, food handling, and kitchen maintenance while following strict hygiene and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Schedule:

Workdays: Thursday to Monday
Shift Length: 8.5 hours (includes 30-minute unpaid meal break)
Available Shifts:
Early: 05:30 – 14:00 (4 positions)
Late: 10:30 – 19:00 (4 positions)

Preference for candidates who can consistently work the same shift.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in food prep and basic cooking tasks
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils
Support meal service, including serving and portioning
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations
Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing supplies
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and supervisors

Mandatory Requirements:

English language proficiency
Valid CPIC (Criminal Record Check)
Ability to work assigned shifts (Thursday–Monday, early or late)
Strong attention to hygiene, safety, and cleanliness
Team-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment

Dress Code / Uniform:

Black top with sleeves (no tank tops)
Black pants (no leggings)
Non-slip, closed-toe shoes (mandatory)
Properly fitted clothing to avoid hazards
Uniforms must not be worn to and from work

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food service
Familiarity with food safety standards and kitchen operations
Reliability and consistent attendance
