Job Title: Shipping & Inventory Coordinator

Duration: Initial term with up to 12 months extension
Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM (36.25 hours/week)
Role Overview
This role requires a physically fit and detail-oriented individual to perform a combination of warehouse operations and administrative duties. The candidate will be responsible for shipping/receiving, inventory control, and operating material handling equipment (including reach trucks) in a secure and controlled warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
Pick, pack, and ship orders within 24–48 hours while maintaining high accuracy
Perform shipping, receiving, and inventory reconciliation
Conduct cyclic inventory counts and maintain stock accuracy
Operate reach truck and other warehouse equipment safely
Maintain and update shipping databases (e.g., Shipping Manager, MOVES)
Record shipment details including waybill numbers, parcel counts, and serialized ranges
Receive stock, verify quantities, and process documentation within 24 hours
Ensure proper stock organization, replenishment, and FIFO rotation
Handle departmental mail distribution
Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, or in person
Follow OHS safety standards and participate in safety inspections/committees
Perform general warehouse duties including lifting (up to 35 lbs), bending, and standing for extended periods
Mandatory Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Must own and wear CSA-approved steel-toe safety footwear
Ability to type 35 WPM (assessment required)
Valid Class 5 Driver's License (MVID required)
Minimum 1 year of Reach Truck experience (mandatory; counterbalance not accepted)
Minimum 2 years of shipping & inventory control experience in a warehouse environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Valid Reach Truck certification
Experience with supply chain software (e.g., JD Edwards, MS Dynamics GP)
Experience with inventory systems and waybill platforms (e.g., Loomis, Purolator)
Experience with data entry and data processing (2 years)
Experience operating warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, shrink wrapper, strapper, etc.)
Experience handling controlled/serialized inventory (e.g., high-value goods)
Knowledge of OHS standards and workplace safety protocols
Additional Requirements
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and remain physically active throughout the shift
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and work independently or in a team
Must pass criminal background check (EPS/RCMP)
Completion of mandatory government training (Privacy, Cybersecurity, OHS, etc.)
