HIRING FULL-TIME CLIMBER- $30-45/hr- Etobicoke
Description
We’re looking for a motivated Arborist Tree Climber/ Urban Forestry Climber to join our crew. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with solid climbing experience and a passion for working outdoors. You'll be part of a skilled team performing everything from technical removals to fine pruning—always with a focus on safety, teamwork, and quality.
What You'll Do
Perform a variety of professional arboriculture services, including advanced tree climbing, crown reduction, structural pruning, and controlled removals.
Execute technical rigging using lowering devices, blocks, port-a-wrap systems, and proper load management techniques.
Safely operate chainsaws, pole saws, pruners, chippers, stump grinders, aerial lift/bucket trucks, and other site-specific equipment.
Follow Ontario Working at Heights regulations, PPE requirements, and company safety protocols.
Work outdoors in all weather conditions and handle physically demanding tasks.
Drive company vehicles and trailers to and from job sites (where qualified).
Contribute to a culture of safety, crew accountability, and professional arboricultural excellence.
What You Bring
Minimum 2 years of professional urban forestry climbing experience (required).
Strong knowledge of proper pruning standards and tree biology.
Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and a team player.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Exceptional focus on safety and attention to detail.
Valid G Class driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract (required).
Previous experience driving company trucks of varying sizes with or without pulling a wood trailer or equipment trailer is an asset.
DZ License and ISA Arborist Certification are strong assets.
