Spartan is a 16-year-old Grade Quarter Horse gelding, standing approximately 15–15.2hh. This decision comes with a heavy heart and is absolutely no fault of his own—life circumstances have changed, and he deserves someone who can give him the consistent time and attention he thrives on.



Spartan is a reliable and willing trail partner who much prefers exploring the outdoors over arena work. He’s been ridden in a variety of terrain and handles it well, making him a great fit for someone who enjoys relaxed, scenic rides. While he’s had some time as more of a companion horse recently, he returns to work easily with a bit of consistency and light refreshing.



He is an easy keeper with simple needs—no shoes required (has been barefoot for years), and no maintenance-heavy care. He stands well for the farrier and trailers nicely, though he can be a little slow to load and may need a calm, patient handler when unloading.



Spartan is a sensitive, kind-hearted horse who genuinely wants to please. Because of this, he will do best with a confident, patient rider who understands softer, more thoughtful handling. With the right person, he has so much to give and will make a very rewarding partner.
