Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Welder to join our team. The candidate must be able to read blueprints and assemble parts accordingly. He/She is also required to assess welds to ensure they are clean, free of error and in accordance with relevant welding codes. The additional qualities needed to succeed on this job include technical, measurement, and problem-solving skills.
Duties and responsibilities may include some or all the following:
• Perform welding, brazing, and soldering processes to assemble and fabricate custom precision metal components in accordance with required specifications and quality standards;
• Set up, operate, and maintain brazing and soldering equipment to ensure proper functioning and quality results;
• Measure, calculate dimensions, and plan layouts to determine the most efficient method and sequence of operations.
• Interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical instructions to determine appropriate procedures
• Operate manual or semi-automated flame cutting equipment in production environments
• Operate metal shaping machines such as metal straightening and bending machines
• Inspect completed welds and fabricated parts to ensure they meet quality and safety standards, making adjustments or repairs as needed.
• Be responsible for achieving the desired quality level of the manufacturing of custom precision parts and/or components
• Maintain safety standards and ensure all work complies with industry regulations.
• Keep work areas organized and safe
Qualifications:
• Completion of secondary school
• Must have at least 3 years of experience
• Must read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
• Operate brazing and soldering equipment
• Be responsible for achieving the desired quality level
• Operate metal shaping machines such as metal straightening and bending machines.
• Ability to work independently or with light supervision
• Strong mathematical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Manual Dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Capable of carrying heavy loads (up to 50lbs)
