Part-Time → Full-Time Fleet Mechanic (Flexible Role)
Description
We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable mechanic who wants flexibility in their career.
This is for someone who likes variety, autonomy, and real responsibility.
You’ll be maintaining a working fleet of 6 semi trucks (Pete/KW)/12 cattle trailers equipment and helping keep operations running — without being stuck in a rigid shop environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Perform minor to medium-duty repairs and maintenance
Work on:
Trucks & trailers
Yard equipment
Electric pallet jacks & misc. equipment
Diagnose issues and keep equipment road-ready and efficient
Coordinate repairs and flag larger issues before they become costly problems
Maintain shop & yard
Bonus (High Value to Us):
*Aluminum welding
**If you have a valid Class 1 license, there’s an opportunity to:
- Fill in for driving when needed
- Increase your hours and overall compensation
Who This Is Perfect For:
A mechanic who wants steady work without dealership pressure
Someone semi-independent, experienced, and solution-oriented
A person who values flexibility over clocking strict 9–5 shop hours
Someone open to growing into a full-time, long-term role
Schedule:
Part-time to start (4–5 days/week)
Flexible structure based on work flow
Opportunity to transition into full-time
*Fill in driving if Class 1 licensed
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate based on experience
Additional earning potential if assisting with driving (Class 1)
Long-term growth opportunity with a stable, expanding operation
Why Join Us:
Variety of work — no repetitive shop grind
Flexible structure
Opportunity to grow with the company
Real impact on operations (you won’t just be a number)
**3 month probation period
