Responsibilities
Diagnosis and Repair:
Inspect, analyze, and troubleshoot vehicle systems and components.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify malfunctions.
Repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components.
Perform routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires.
Maintenance and Service:
Perform routine maintenance procedures, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-ups.
Inspect and test vehicle systems to ensure proper functioning.
Adjust and calibrate vehicle systems as needed.
Communication and Customer Service:
Explain automotive problems and repairs to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
Provide estimates for repairs and discuss options with customers.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Tools and Equipment:
Proficiently use a wide range of hand and power tools.
Understand and utilize specialized automotive equipment, such as diagnostic scanners and lifts.
Knowledge and Skills:
Possess a strong understanding of automotive systems, including engines, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
Stay current with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Follow manufacturer and customer specifications when performing repairs.
Qualifications
Licensed or 3-4 Yr Apprentice Automotive Technician
Valid Class 5 Driver's License
