Job is located in Vaughan
$35/hour
POSITION: Maintenance Mechanic
GENERAL FUNCTION
Maintain operation of machinery and mechanical equipment to high level production and quality standards, as well as provide service support and troubleshooting skills for machinery and equipment.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Able to troubleshoot and follow machine operation sequences.
2. Maintain operation of machinery and mechanical equipment to high level production and quality standards.
3. Provide service support and troubleshooting skills for machinery and equipment.
4. Complete Preventative Maintenance requirements and schedules.
5. Maintain Preventative Maintenance reporting and documentation.
6. Rebuild machinery to satisfy plant overhaul schedule.
7. Fabricate parts where applicable using machine shop equipment.
8. Assist in machine moves for new layouts and processes.
9. Provide support for any designated facility maintenance.
10. Comply with all company safety procedures and policies, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
11. Contribute to a team effort within the department, provide communication and support.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1. Mechanic license is required.
2. 3-5 years related experience.
3. Minimum Grade 12 High School.
4. Excellent knowledge of mechanical equipment: maintenance, troubleshooting and rebuilding.
5. Knowledge of PLCs is an asset.
6. Knowledge of servo motors and drives.
7. Knowledge of pneumatic systems and components.
8. Knowledge of basic electrical.
9. Welding experience is an asset.
10. Knowledge of machine shop equipment: lathe, milling machine, surface grinders.
11. Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance programs and scheduling.
12. Safety-oriented, familiar with PPE, safety policies and procedures.
13. Ability to read drawings and schematics.
14. Ability to speak and read English.
15. Forklift and scissor lift experience is an asset.
16. Millwright certification is an asset.
