Five year old Maremma x Caucasian Shepherd male looking for a new home. Decker is a fantastic trail buddy, property guardian, and companion. He is very well behaved and has grown up hiking off-leash, so has great recall. He’s happiest when he has lots of space to explore or gets a daily walk. When not on a walk, he generally is very low energy and just wants to nap near his people. Decker is comfortable around other animals and has lived around horses and chickens.

As per his breed, he is very protective of his home. He does well with the people and dogs we encounter when walking, but needs to be carefully introduced when newcomers enter his property, especially other dogs. He does best with dogs that, like him, respect personal space.

This breed does best with large property or a fenced in yard. Unfortunately, we’ve moved recently and had life changes that leave us unable to give him the life he needs. He is an amazing dog, though, for someone who has the time for him.

He is neutered and up to date on his rabies shots. Decker is pretty small for his breed, so only about 70 lbs.
