Piper Warrior PA28-161 Shares - Oak Ridges Flying Club
Description
1981 Piper Warrior II (PA28-161), IFR certified, hangared, great condition. Part ownerships available.
What we are looking for:
We are seeking member owners who are passionate about aviation, interested in being part airplane owners, exhibit great character and will enjoy taking care of a lovely airplane for our mutual benefit and enjoyment for the long term while sharing the cost of ownership.
A bit about the club:
Oak Ridges Flying Club is a syndicate of individuals looking to own and operate a Piper Warrior for purpose of recreational flying enjoyment, trips, and keeping current. As of writing, there are two member owners (myself being one), with plans for a group of 9 total.
My role with the club is that of maintenance director due to my extensive technical background and experience managing the maintenance of a Cessna 150 club. That other club has a total of 5 members whom have become great close friends as a result. We hope the same will be realized with the Piper. As members join, management roles can be shared amongst the group and we all work together to keep it flying in tip top shape for years to come.
The club has great assets in terms of the beautiful condition of the airplane (no significant required maintenance planned), a relationship with a consummate professional mechanic servicing the aircraft for more than the last 10 years and a quality powered hangar at very reasonable cost. Home at CNV8 Edenvale Aerodrome Highway 26 east of Stayner. 24h operations including fuel, 4 runways, 2 with ARCAL
About the airplane:
1981 Piper Warrior II PA28-161
Lycoming O-320 160HP. Tidy under the cowling, 50h oil changes. 100h borescope inspections and oil analysis. ~ 1 quart loss per 20 air hours. Valves, lifters, cams, pistons, rings replaced ~300h ago. Always preheated in the hangar with Tannis full engine heater to 15C before cranking, and starts strong. No observed issues with exhaust valves, pistons, cylinders, fouling/deposits...etc. Excellent engine health.
Avionic upgrades: EGT system, Garmin IFR nav unit, mounted Ipad with Foreflight. Full ADS-B in and out capability
Recent interior upgrade: Seats, carpeting, dash leather
All technical documents available physical and digital (digital tech log, borescope analysis photos...etc). Booking reservation system online.
Low TCO aspects (maintenance, insurance...etc): Low time airframe ~3500 with regular maintenance completed, fixed landing gear, fixed pitch propeller, naturally aspirated engine. Tires, brakes, windscreen/windows, aerodynamic components, control surfaces, avionics free from any known issues.
Performance: Solo in ISA ~1000fpm, happily cruise 110kts, economy cruise 80kts. Fuel burn between 5-8 g/h cruise.
All in all GTMK is a fabulously and lovingly maintained aircraft. A great example of the type.
Pilots will need to be PPL or CPL.
If interested in joining the club, please reach out to Peter via OKz.ca or at oakridgesflyingclub@gmail.com. Thanks for viewing.
