Location: Etobicoke and Mississauga
Job Summary:
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing authentic Indian and Pakistani dishes while maintaining consistency, quality, and speed during service. This role requires familiarity with traditional spices, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations specific to South Asian cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and help in cooking traditional dishes, and breads (naan, roti, paratha, bhatura)
Measure and mix spices (masalas) to ensure authentic flavor and consistency
Operate and maintain equipment such as tandoor ovens, grills, and stovetops
Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes and presentation standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Assist with prep work including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and making dough
Monitor stock levels of spices, herbs, and ingredients; report shortages
Work efficiently during peak hours while maintaining quality


Required Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience in an Indian or Pakistani kitchen preferred
Experience with making naan (MUST HAVE)
Ability to handle multiple orders in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Attention to detail in flavor, texture, and presentation
Understanding of food safety standards


Working Conditions:

Fast-paced kitchen with high heat (especially near tandoor ovens)
Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physically demanding (standing for long hours, lifting supplies)
