Personal Care Provider – Kingston, ON (west end)
Role Overview
Reliable and compassionate Personal Care Workers are needed to support a male client with daily living tasks. The role focuses on safe personal care, mobility assistance, and maintaining a clean, organized home environment.
Employment Type: Part-Time (10–20 hours/week)
Schedule: Flexible shifts; mornings and evenings preferred
Key Responsibilities
Morning Routine
Assist with washroom use, including shower hygiene and grooming.
Support dressing and ensuring clothing is applied safely and comfortably.
Provide safe transfers and positioning using appropriate techniques.
Offer medication reminders.
Prepare a light morning snack.
Tidy the living space to ensure safety and comfort.
Evening Routine
Prepare the client for bed, including washroom support and nighttime hygiene.
Assist with safe transfers and positioning in bed.
Provide medication reminders.
Tidy the home and ensure the environment is set up for the next morning.
Prepare the morning setup (e.g., clothing, supplies, or equipment as needed).
Qualifications
Experience in personal care or support work an asset but will train if applicable.
Knowledge of safe transfer and positioning techniques.
Ability to maintain professionalism, respect, and confidentiality.
Strong communication skills and reliability.
Willing to help with the day functioning of the household.
Living in area (west end near Holy Cross High School) may prove beneficial.
Additional Details
Compensation: Competitive, $22.00-25.00 per hour.
Work Setting: Private low stress home with small friendly non allergic dog.
