Highway 43 Towing is looking for a tow truck operator to join our team.

This is a hands-on job with a mix of roadside calls and towing. You’ll be helping people out with boosts, lockouts, tire changes, and general towing throughout the area. No two days are the same, and there’s always a good mix of work. The role also includes recoveries and winch work when needed.

On-call work is part of the job, with scheduled days off.

We’re looking for someone with a Class 1 or Class 3 with air, but we will consider a Class 5 with commercial driving experience. You must be reliable, able to work independently, comfortable working outdoors in all conditions, and willing to learn. Being mechanically inclined is a strong asset.

Pay is commission on calls, along with an hourly rate for any non-commissionable work such as non-retail driving or parts runs. The right person can do well here.

This position is based out of Whitecourt, AB, with preference given to applicants located in town.

Highway 43 Towing operates out of both Mayerthorpe and Whitecourt. We also run a heavy-duty mechanical, automotive, welding, and tire shop in Mayerthorpe, which allows us to maintain our own equipment in-house with minimal downtime.
