Looking for a reliable roofing helper for metal roofing work.

Pay: $25 per hour starting
Gas: Paid from my pickup location in Mississauga to the jobsite
Schedule: 6 days per week
Hours: Around 10 hours per day
Location: GTA and surrounding areas
Pickup: Must have a reliable car and be able to pick me up from Mississauga and drive to job sites. This pickup requirement is temporary, likely for the first 1–2 months.

Gas arrangement:

Gas will be paid for the drive from my pickup location in Mississauga to the jobsite. If we return to Mississauga together, gas will also be covered for the return drive. Travel from your home to Mississauga is not covered unless agreed separately.

Important:

This is not a ground helper position. You must already have real experience working on roofs.

Metal roofing can be taught, but you must already be comfortable walking, balancing, carrying material, using ladders, working near edges, and moving safely on sloped roofs. Some roofs are only slightly sloped, but others can be very steep and difficult to move on.

In the past, many people have said they are comfortable with roofing work, but once they got on the roof, they could barely move or function properly. That slows down the job, creates safety issues, and stops the workflow. For this position, I need someone who can already move confidently and stay productive on the roof throughout the day.

Requirements:

•Must have real roofing experience
•Must have valid Working at Heights certification
•Must have a valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
•Must be comfortable working on sloped roofs, ladders, and around edges
•Must be physically able to carry material and work full days outdoors
•Metal roofing experience is preferred, but not required
•Must be reliable, punctual, and able to show up consistently
•Must be safety-minded and sober on the jobsite
•Safety boots and basic PPE required

Work includes helping with metal roof installation, strapping, carrying panels and material, installing trims, cleanup, and general roofing tasks.

This is steady full-time work for the right person. There is potential to make more money based on reliability, productivity, roof experience, and ability to learn metal roofing properly.
