Description
Full job description
On behalf of our client’s interest (Harmonys Way Family Farm), we are seeking a Farm Food Production Assistant.
Position Overview
Not a desk job. Not a casual kitchen job. This is roll-up-your-sleeves, hands-on work, making consumable food products. You have the energy to hustle all day and know the value of putting in an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay.
We’re looking for someone reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented to support our food production and retail operations. You’ll be part of a small, focused team producing sauerkraut, kombucha, bone broth, meat pies, heat-and-serve meals, and pizza, along with preparing products for market and retail.
No experience needed - we’ll train you - but effort, attitude, and follow-through matter.
___________________________________________________________________________________________
What You’ll Be Doing
Preparing real food products (ferments, broths, prepared meals)
Packaging, labeling, and organizing products for sale
Preparing orders for our three retail locations
Tracking, organizing, and restocking inventory
Maintaining a clean, efficient, food-safe workspace
Supporting daily production—doing what needs to be done
__________________________________________________________________________________________
You’ll Fit This Role If You:
Show up on time and ready to work – every day
Learn & catch on quickly
Work steadily without needing constant direction
Take pride in doing things right—even when repetitive
Are comfortable with physical, hands-on work
Care about real food and quality production
Work well with a diverse team of people
_________________________________________________________________________________________
This Job Is NOT:
A desk job or slow-paced environment
Flexible “whenever you feel like it” work
Creative freelancing—there are systems and standards to uphold & adhere to
Easy—this is physical, fast-paced production work
A fit for someone who struggles with reliability or consistency
_________________________________________________________________________________________
Trial Shift (Required)
We use a paid trial shift (4–6 hours) as part of our hiring process.
You’ll be doing real work—cleaning, prep, packaging, and working with the team.
If you’re not open to a trial shift, this role won’t be the right fit – don’t apply.
Hours
Full-time, Temporary position starting May 11, 2026 ending August 28, 2026. (there is a possibility this could turn into a permanent position)
