Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Home Support Worker to provide specialized in-home care for an individual with complex medical needs. The ideal candidate will have formal healthcare training and strong hands-on experience in patient care, medication administration, and mobility support.

Languages:English (required)

Education:Completion of a college program in personal support work, nursing, or related healthcare field
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent healthcare education

Experience
1 or 1 of relevant experience
Experience in
Home care or long-term care settings
Clinical or hospital-based patient care
Supporting clients with chronic or degenerative conditions

(Experience in both institutional and private home care settings is considered a strong asset)

Responsibilities / Tasks
Provide comprehensive personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene
Assist with mobility support, transfers, and physical therapy exercises
Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
Monitor and document patient condition and changes in health status
Prepare and serve nutritious meals based on dietary and medical requirements
Perform light housekeeping and maintain a safe, clean environment
Provide companionship and emotional support
Assist with care planning and coordination with family or healthcare providers

Additional Skills / Requirements
Strong knowledge of patient care techniques and infection control practices
Ability to recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
Experience with medical equipment and therapeutic care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
