Direct Support Worker / Community Connector Job in town of Gimli MB. Located 1.5 hours north of Winnipeg

Seeking a motivated individual to provide support to a 30yr old-woman living with an intellectual disability in the town of Gimli. Offering a competitive starting wage of 20$/hr and flexible hours! Bonus $$ after completing specified number of hours, and opportunities for wage increases. Also training opportunities will be available and supported. The successful candidate will work independently and as a part of a strong team with a “person centered” approach to support in community. Supports are focused on developing independent living skills, connecting with community, and supporting healthy relationships. Strong communication skills and a sense of humour are an asset in working on this team.

A variety of training opportunities provided, and offering a competitive wage. Use of personal vehicle is required, with mileage compensated. Related experience and education an asset but not required. Shifts available evenings, weekends, occasional weekdays, but no overnights.
