My beautiful, experienced, nurturing, kind, fun, licensed, registered and most of all LOVING dayhome in wonderful community of Auburn Bay S.E. has 1 space opening P/T. My infant, toddler and pre kindergarten aged dayhome has a Wednesday and Friday spot coming available for May 2026. I can accept any age up to 5 yrs of age at this time but only 1 space is available. ***A possible (F/T) spot coming available for Sept.
I am looking for the right family to come and join my little dayhome family. I am a small group with lovely children where I offer very personalized, and individualized care. I am not a big center with lots of commotion and noise.
WHAT I OFFER YOU:
- a quiet half hour appointment to come and meet me, see the dayhome, and I will help answer any questions at that time :)
- updated screenings through gov't agency....police check, vulnerable sector etc.
- updated first aid and child CPR and AED trained
- food safety certified
- level 1 E.C.E.
- almost 40 years of childcare experience
- plenty of beautiful references of families I have cared for over the years
- non smoking home in and out of any kind
- pet free
- reliability and dependability you can count on
- child proofed home:
~ proper baby gates
~ fire extinguisher on every level of house
~ carbon monoxide detector
~ all cabinets child locked
~ any and all medications locked & out of reach of children
~ backyard fully fenced, just to name a few
- a structured and professional dayhome
- children never driven in any vehicles, we go for walks in the community only
- NO visitors while I am working at any time, other than government appointed agency for inspections. I take my job very seriously, not even my family comes in while I work ;)
- good old plain common sense
WHAT I OFFER YOUR LITTLE ONE AS THEY GROW:
- crafts and painting
- baking usually every week
- playdough, puzzles, playtime
- creative toys and crafts they can eat
- story time
- music, dance, exercise everyday they are with me...i.e.... walking almost everyday on our daily walk and discovery, stretching and whatever keeps us moving
- food they love and enjoy
- naptime in their own crib
- indoor/outdoor play in the backyard and playgrounds in the community
- walks, wagon rides
- educational toys, toys and more toys
- reassurance, affirmation and lots of love by me
- hugs and kisses every. single. day.
I can accept only 1 child at this time anywhere from under 1 year of age to 5 yrs of age. I have as mentioned only 1 space PART TIME at this time (Wed, Fri only) but may possibly have a FT spot opening come Sept 2026.
My hours of care the Dayhome is open each week is:
Tues, Wed and Thurs 7am- 5pm (flexible hours)
and Fridays 7am - 3pm (must be closed by 3pm on Fridays) BUT can accommodate longer early morning hours if needed.
I AM NOT OPEN MONDAY'S, SO PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND IF 5 DAYS A WEEK ARE NEEDED! :(
I am looking for 1 special family who after mat leave must go back to work, but does not want to leave their precious baby just anywhere. I am a quiet, calm, patient home, safe and warm, not an establishment that is more concerned with numbers and filling spaces, but rather truly seeing and learning what each child is about and working with them and their small group of friends.
I offer clean noses, cuddles, hearing each child's individual thoughts and expressions, baking banana bread, cookies and the real "mommy type" treatment. I offer proper cribs for naptime or even overnight care if needed, so your little one will have a proper sleep to help in their growth. Which leads me to what I DO NOT offer. I am not offering at this time care for children after 5 yrs of age who attend kindergarten or school. So no before or after care, as I do not do drop off's and pick up's to school. I feel you cannot do both jobs properly if waking a sleeping baby to go pick up a child from school. So sadly I must stick to protecting my little ones in care and their well needed sleeping schedules.
** I have chosen this hard at times but very rewarding career out of choice. My decades of love and commitment to all my children and their families is testimony to that. My husband and I have no children of our own, and I chose this job because I LOVE children and all the rewards that come with it, not because I want to stay home with my own children or because it was the only job I could get coming to Canada. I am a proud Alberta girl born and raised in Canada and am very proud of the path I chose so long ago because of my love and passion in working with babies and watching them grow to be beautiful adults.
****I know this is the hardest choice you will make thus far when it comes to your baby, who will care for them, will they be loved, not just babysat, but truly loved and cared for? Let me show you, with my almost 40 yrs of childcare experience, let me show you how I can make this easier than you ever thought possible for you and baby. It seems like never before childcare is harder and harder to find, spaces aren't available, let alone where do you really want to leave your child. But don't settle, listen to your gut mama, and fight for your child. My space will not stay open for long, so please don't hesitate if you are looking for PT care and can make it work.
