Owen Oil Tools is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor for our Red Deer manufacturing facility. This position involves overseeing the Quality Department, including inspections, document control, calibration, and quality audits.
Duties include:
· Conduct and document receiving, in-process and final inspections
· Report any and all Non-Conformances using the NCR Form, follow-up all NCRs with disposition, verification, and root cause analysis and corrective action where required.
· Calibrate measuring instruments
· Creating and maintaining quality documentation as required for ISO
· Analyze data from NCRs and other data sources for monthly Steering Committee Meetings and annual Quality Management System review.
· Set and Track Quality Objectives (S.Q.U.I.P.S)
· Review and approve of raw material Mill Certificates for received raw material, Preparation of gun material testing requests, where raw material is required to be tested prior to acceptance.
· Develop and maintain a working knowledge of ISO Quality System
· Approve External Vendors by receiving inspection, First Articles, or audits.
· Leader of Internal Quality Audit Team, help with preparation and conducting of internal and external audits
· Search quality records to provide manufacturing and inspection data (raw material mill certificates) when requested
· Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION: Indicate the minimum level and type of education required for this job.
· High school diploma
· Related trade or technical schooling an asset
EXPERIENCE: Indicate the minimum years and type of experience required for this job.
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Quality Control field or a related trades
· Machine Shop Experience an asset
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: List special knowledge, skills and abilities required for this job.
· Solid knowledge, understanding, and experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management System
· Able to work under stressful situations
· Ability to read blueprints
· Work well with minimal supervision
