Enjoy learning the basics of the keyboard in 6 group lessons Wednesdays, July 8,15,22 and 29 and the first two Wednesdays of August 5 and 12
What is covered:
1. The names of the keys.
2. Basic note values.
3. Chording
4. Simple note reading.
Students will be divided into small groups of four to six students. Each class will run for 45 minutes for the 4-5 year olds and one hour for those who are 6 years old and up.

Classes are as follows:
1:00- 2:00 PM teens to adults
2:00-3:00 PM 8-12 year olds
3:15- 4:15 PM 6-7 year olds
4:15-5:15 PM 4-5 year olds
Students will benefit more from the course if time is taken to practice what is taught. Find out if you enjoy learning the piano by taking this course before you commit to a whole term of lessons!

Carla is a teacher with the Royal Conservatory of music and has been teaching for over thirty years. She holds her RCM diploma for piano performing and teaching. She also has the RCM gr.10 diploma for flute. Besides teaching music, she has tutored the core subjects for school, homeschooled her seven children and worked as a teacher's aide in a private school.
