Lumbering in Nova Scotia has a long and storied history, dating back nearly for centuries. This oral history, covering a 30-year period from the 1920s to the 1940s, captures the personal experiences of those choppers, scalers, sawyers, yarders, mill hands and cooks who were part of this rugged experience.
