Job description:
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our team as a Shingler / Roofer. This role involves hands-on construction and maintenance work, requiring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing for at least 3 years (junior), 5 years (senior) as a shingle installer.

Duties
Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform various construction, repair, and maintenance tasks
Read and interpret work orders to ensure accurate project execution
Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure weatherproofing and durability of structures
Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely and efficiently
Assist in general duties such as tear off, prep work and site cleanliness, clean up
Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe work environment
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and meet quality standards, with a positive attitude.
Experience
Proven experience in roofing, shingle installation to high quality standards. Higher pay rates available for experience with wall flashing / metal installation craft experience, siding experience, skylight installation, etc...
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools is essential
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods
Prior experience working on residential or commercial construction sites
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required for success in this role
Must have Working at Heights or be willing to obtain
Must have or be willing to obtain all appropriate PPE and basic hand tools
Work Location: In person - Must have reliable transportation to job sites across the city
