Description
Please read all of this as it is a unique situation. These 2 Beauties are being retired from breeding and are not yet fixed. Scout and Winter are characters. They have lived in a huge outside fenced area with a partially heated shelter which they use when its -8 or under to sleep. They use it for rain shelter and we feed and water them in it. They are not housetrained and love being outside. We let them play in our fenced in yard much of the day. They are also our pets and were treated as such. Scout (male in the last few pics) likes to play guard dog and will bark at squirrels etc. He craves attention and rolls on his back for belly rubs and tries to stick his nose in if we are petting another dog. Hes funny because he never gets enough! Winter (female in the first few pics) is a clown and very funny. She sort of talks to us with short little howls that sound like AWOOO. She loves treats and chasing birds although she doesnt catch them. If there is a hole around she likes to dig at times and comes out with a black face which is somehow clean the next day. Samoyeds have hair and a wool undercoat so mud doesnt stick long. They are hypoallergenic.
Now the unique part or the negative part. They require a fenced in area to live in. They should stay together to be happy. Scout has a habit of jumping up to greet you but will stay down when told "down" most of the time. We do not recommend a home with kids out of an abundance of caution. He had 1 incident in 6 years, 3 years ago. Winter or Female was in heat and being brushed. Scout was trying to get to her and my 8 year old son yanked his collar and scout turned around and when they collided scout grabbed him for an instant and broke the skin. Scout immediately recoiled and rolled on his back in submission.
We were unsure what the right thing to do was as it seemed like an accident rather than an aggressive action. And Scout didn't bite down at all. Happy to report that nothing like this happened in the last 3 years. Im trying to be upfront as I want to be transparent.
I will explain it in detail to anyone who is serious in giving these beauties a suitable home. I paid over $4000 for them. We just want a suitable home for them as we love them very much. The rehoming fee is $800, Scout will be fixed as Winter should not have more puppies. Please call Scott for much more info. They are available if the ad is still up. This is an amazing opportunity for the right person. Call Scott at 519-992-8499
