$200
BC Rich Mockingbird Guitar, autographed by Johhny Winter, DEAL!
Description
BC Rich "Mockingbird" Platinum Series guitar (approx. 2001) for sale,
Plays great as is, great whammy arm, but needs a bit of work to make it perfect.
Priced to sell quickly for only $200.
This is a Collectors guitar, as it was autographed by Johnny Winter at Cheapies Record Store, Hamilton, when Johnny Winter (legendary blues guitarist, played at Woodstock, brother is Edgar Winter) was signing his final CD and guitars and photos, on April 19th, 2014. Then played a gig at "This Ain't Hollywood" club on James St.
He died 88 days later at age 70, in Austria.
This guitar has a GREAT Neck, and all frets are great, the action is low and perfect, and the pickups are great, and clean.
Fix-it-uppers: there is a 'nut lock plate' that you can buy, to tie down the stings at the nut end, to make it not go out of tune as much when you use the whammy arm heavy. Without it - it's totally fine, I've never missed it, and it plays great. And doesn't really go out of tune that much, esp. if you pull the arm back up a shot, after down-bending, it corrects the tuning pretty spot on.
Also: The bridge needs proper adjustment, as it's kind of sticking up a bit at the back, but again, it's never bothered me - as it plays totally fine. But I'm not a guitar tech, to be able to do the proper set up on that bridge, though I know it would probably take about 2 minutes.
Includes a top quality guitar stand for free.
