Delivery Driver (No experience required)
Description
Job Summary:
Drivers will be required to follow company procedures and safety requirements both while loading the vehicle and delivering customer packages in a safe, timely and efficient manner. This is a Full-time position (4 days or more any day of the week) and drivers to work weekdays and weekends as well as public holidays.
NO CASH WORK ONLY ON SIN
General Accountabilities:
• Loading, unloading, preparing, and operating the delivery vehicle.
• Drivers make frequent trips in and out of the driver's seat, in and out of the cargo area to retrieve and organize packages
• Make frequent trips up and down stairs to make deliveries
• Repeatedly bend, lift, and carry packages of varying sizes and weights. (Packages have a weight limit of 50lbs and a scale is provided before the start of the shift)
• Conduct inspections of vehicle before and after shift.
• Deliver packages as outlined by the standard of operation process.
• Receive calls from dispatchers doing so with safety first in mind.
• Driver must abide by the rules and regulation of the road.
• Absolutely no driving or operating the vehicle while distracted.
• Before returning to the station drivers must report back to dispatcher as you may need to go out on rescues.
• Fuel up vehicles before returning to the station at the end of each shift.
• Maintain driving log, prepare vehicle inspection forms and complete daily paperwork
• Maintain the vehicle clean and safe
• Report any accidents or injuries to management immediately
• Work with support team to provide exceptional customer service and address customer concerns.
Job Qualifications:
• G License (2 years full G)
• Clean drivers abstract (Can accept two minor infractions and zero points)
• Criminal Background Check
• Related job experience or training; valid driver’s license with good standing.
• Must be able to repeatedly bend, lift, and carry packages of varying sizes and weights. (Packages have a weight limit of up to 50lbs and a scale is provided before the start of the shift).
• Make frequent trips up and down stairs and walk on uneven surfaces to make deliveries.
