Description
Job Title: Vehicle Inspector
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour
Start Date: Immediate, 4 June onwards
Location: London, ON
Schedule: 8:00 AM start (10-12 hrs shift)
Monday - Sunday (1-2 day off/week to be decided by the Supervisor; Weekend availability required)
Please note: Supervisors may adjust the schedule based on business needs.
Position Overview
We are hiring on behalf of a well-established auto dealership in London seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Vehicle Inspector. This role involves conducting thorough inspections to ensure all vehicles meet strict dealership quality standards prior to approval.
This is a fast-paced and demanding position, ideal for individuals who thrive under pressure and have a sharp eye for identifying even the smallest imperfections, including scratches, dents, and interior defects.
Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed exterior inspections (body condition, dents, scratches, paint, lights, tires)
Conduct interior inspections (seats, dashboard, electronics, controls, overall condition)
Accurately complete and submit inspection checklists & reports
Ensure all vehicles meet dealership quality standards
Identify, document, and report defects or inconsistencies
Maintain organized inspection records for audits and quality control
Requirements
Previous vehicle inspection / automotive detailing experience is an asset
Valid G driver’s license with a clean driving record
Must have own vehicle for commuting
Basic mechanical knowledge of automotive systems
Automotive repair/mechanic experience is an asset
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to complete thorough inspections within 10–15 minutes
Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
Strong English communication and documentation skills
Flexible availability, including weekends
Additional Information
Training will be provided; however, we are looking for fast learners who can quickly perform accurate and efficient inspections. This is a high-responsibility role with no margin for error, requiring focus, speed, and precision.
