RDG Hauling is Hiring Experienced Drivers
Description
RDG Hauling is a local, family-run trucking business looking for experienced drivers to join our team as we head into grain season—our busiest time of the year. With newly acquired contracts and increased demand, we are currently looking to hire:
1 Full-Time Driver
1 Seasonal Grain Hauling Driver
We are seeking knowledgeable, reliable drivers to help support our operations and are specifically looking for applicants located in the Trent Hills, Cobourg, Belleville, or Peterborough areas.
What We Offer
Competitive pay (to be discussed with successful applicants)
Opportunity for seasonal work with potential for year-round employment
Family-oriented work environment
Variety of hauling work including grain, enclosed trailer, and flat deck operations
Enclosed trailer work is typically Monday to Friday, with opportunities to haul grain after regular hours and on weekends during the busy season
Requirements
Must be a local driver residing in the Trent Hills, Cobourg, Belleville, or Peterborough area
Must be available on short notice when needed
Must be willing to work long days during peak grain season
Experience operating manual transmission trucks (no automatics)
Familiarity with grain trailers, enclosed trailers, and flat deck trailers is considered a strong asset
Clean driver's abstract required
Must not be considered a high-risk driver
Dependable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing schedules based on weather and crop conditions
Important Information
Grain hauling is highly dependent on weather and elevator operating hours. When conditions are right, we work. During peak harvest periods, grain hauling can be 7 days a week if weather permits and elevators are accepting grain. Some weeks may be extremely busy, while others may be slower, and applicants must be comfortable with that reality.
Because we often receive last-minute hauling requests, we require drivers who live locally and can respond quickly when work becomes available. Overnight stays in trucks are not permitted.
Enclosed trailer work may become a year-round position depending on this year's crop conditions and business needs.
If you're an experienced driver looking to join a hardworking local team, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today by sending your resume and current driver's abstract to rdghauling@yahoo.com or by replying directly through Messenger (see our Facebook page) or message us here.
