Meet Maple, a very sweet, 9 month old purebred Irish Wolfhound Puppy. Maple is a beautiful, brindle colored pup looking for her forever home. Maple is a very good pup who can be a tad bit nervous in new scenarios or with new people. This is something she overcomes easily with treats and patience. Maple knows her basic commands/obedience but sometimes likes to see if you remember that she knows them so she can be stubborn at times (which is a breed trait) Maple is crate trained and house trained, going outside for bathroom consistently. Maple is a big dog who is only going to get bigger, with this she needs a home willing to put in the work to help her gain confidence.

Maples ideal home has a friend she can play with, she is large and plays rough so a dog that can hold their own is ideal, though she does live with toy poodles and a cat currently and has learned to respect them, she plays rough with the Lab. Understanding of the breed and their care/being willing to learn is required. Sighthounds are a special kind and function slightly differently than other breeds. Maple needs someone who is willing and dedicated to help her overcome her fears, she really just needs more exposure and she has every potential to get better in the right home. Maples coat care is special and she needs someone who understands that. Maple needs to be handstripped and not shaved down as shaving her can ruin her coat. Maple is a wonderful gal who tends to be on the independent side, which is typical for her breed. She's does seek out attention but shes no Lab, meaning she won't be stuck to your hip constantly. Maple has her beginnings of basic obedience but needs more time and dedication than she has at the moment.

Maple is being rehomed due to no fault of her own. She is truly a wonderful dog. She just needs more than she is offered right now due to some unexpected circumstances that can be discussed along with interest/questions.
