Full-time / Long-term position available on a family grain farm/cattle operation in Southern Alberta. 2-3 years of previous farm experience preferred.
We are seeking full time farm labour at our grain and cow calf operation in Southern Alberta. Duties will include: Operating machinery, trucking, grain handling, working with cattle, calving, tagging, branding, fencing, feeding cattle, haying, land rolling, seeding, combining, equipment maintenance, yard/building maintenance, learning and maintaining irrigation equipment, and various other duties. Will be predominantly Monday-Friday, except in the busy seasons of seeding and harvest, and a few other exceptions. Must be willing to work long hours, weekends, and holidays during those times. But we are understanding of important commitments and appointments even during the busy seasons.

Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident, hold a minimum Class 3 driver's license, but Class 1 license is preferred. Must be willing to demonstrate general farming competency from work experience, as well as an ability and willingness to learn. Must be reliable, able to work well with others and alone. Must be physically fit to do a lot of walking and lifting, during calving season in particular.

Literacy required.

A brand new house in the Village of Milo, Alberta will be provided as an employment benefit.
Wage will be very competitive, but dependent on experience and Class 1 license.
Medical and dental benefits also available after a 3 month probationary period.
