Technical Sales Representative – Glass Installation Projects

Full‑Time | $36,000–$50,000 Commission (3 - 4.5% New Contracts, 1.5 %

About the Role

We are seeking a technically skilled Sales Representative with experience in construction, glazing, or related trades. This role involves client consultations, site measurements, blueprint interpretation, and preparing accurate quotes for residential and commercial glass installation projects.

If you understand drawings, can work with AutoCAD, and are confident dealing with contractors and homeowners, this position offers strong earning potential and long‑term stability.

Compensation

• Base Salary: $36,000–$51000 (based on experience)
• Commission:• 3-4.5 % on new contracts
• 1.5 % on ongoing/returning clients

• Salary review after probation

Technical Responsibilities

• Read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and blueprints
• Use AutoCAD to review layouts, measurements, and project details
• Conduct accurate site measurements and assessments
• Prepare detailed quotes and proposals
• Work closely with installers and project managers to ensure job accuracy
• Identify technical requirements for glass, hardware, and installation methods


Sales Responsibilities

• Prospect and secure new clients
• Maintain and grow existing accounts
• Conduct client meetings and site visits
• Follow up on leads and close contracts
• Provide professional customer service throughout the project cycle


Requirements

• Experience in construction, glazing, windows/doors, or related technical field
• Ability to read blueprints and architectural drawings
• AutoCAD experience (basic–intermediate)
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Ability to work independently and meet sales targets
• Professional appearance and strong attention to detail
