Position Title: Farm Supervisor – Greenhouse

Work Hours: 35 hours per week
Wage: CAD $25.00 per hour

Job Duties:
• Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers in the greenhouse, including assigning daily tasks and monitoring performance.
• Supervise and oversee greenhouse growing operations, including planting, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting vegetables to ensure optimal crop yield and quality.
• Develop and implement daily and seasonal work schedules to maximize production efficiency and maintain high-quality standards.
• Monitor and control greenhouse environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, irrigation systems) and inspect crops for pests, diseases, and overall health.
• Ensure farm safety, occupational health, and bio-security procedures are strictly followed; train staff on safety protocols and proper handling of tools, machinery, and crops.
• Hire, train, and supervise staff in greenhouse procedures, harvesting techniques, and equipment operation.
• Operate and oversee the maintenance of farm machinery and equipment; report repair and servicing requirements to management.
• Maintain financial, production, and quality control records, including harvested quantities, work logs, and greenhouse supply inventory.
• Oversee greenhouse cleaning and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic growing environment.
• Perform general farm duties as required to support daily operations.

Skills Requirements:
Education:
• Minimum completion of high school diploma.
Work Experience:
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in vegetable farming or related agricultural services in greenhouse.
Language:
• English
Supervision:
• Experience supervising 3–4 workers is required.
