Mobile Heavy Equipment Technician – For Hire (Field Role)
Location: Remote Northern Alberta
Schedule: 2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off – 12 Hour Shifts
Start Date: May 2026

Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Pay: $110,000 – $160,000 per year (based on experience)

Mid-North Equipment is hiring an experienced Mobile Heavy Equipment Technician to operate a fully equipped service truck in a field-based role supporting client operations across Northern Alberta.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment in the field
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Work independently out of a fully equipped service truck
• Communicate with site and office teams regarding repairs and parts

Equipment You’ll Work On:
• Large off-road mining equipment
• Haul trucks, dozers, excavators, graders
• Heavy production equipment across multiple major brands

What We’re Looking For:
• Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician
• Strong experience with large off-road mining equipment
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair heavy haul trucks and large dozers
• Experience across multiple brands (CAT, Komatsu, Volvo, etc.) preferred
• Service truck experience is a strong asset
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in the field
• Strong record keeping (work orders, service reports, documentation)
• Valid driver’s license with clean abstract (Class 1 or 3 an asset)

Additional Information:
