Job Description
Our Bulk Retail Organization is looking for a professional, hands-on, customer focused, reliable and lead-by-example Pick & Pack Manager to alternate between Bayers Lake and Dartmouth Crossing locations.
The Pick & Pack Manager with their excellent communication skills oversees a pick & pack team and the entire process to fulfil retail store orders; from selecting items on the sales floor to packing them onto pallets for transportation.
To maximize customer satisfaction, the manager is hands-on to assist the pick & pack team in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines, oversees the safety of the team, checks the inventory for accuracy, and monitors loaded pallets that are ready for transportation.
The Manager is responsible to handle membership cards, credit cards and financial transactions of purchased goods.
Technology such as AI, smart phones, computer skills, as well as retail leadership experience are an asset, but the team is happy to train the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
Order Picking: Receives, manages and distributes inventory lists or smartphone messages with inventory orders to pick & pack team.
Quality Inspection: Sorting items by temperature (frozen, refrigerated, dry) and packing them securely to prevent damage.
Order Accuracy: Verifying that the items picked match the retail store order list to avoid errors. Consults with retail store teams to substitute out-of-stock items with similar products.
Submitting Orders: Observes the staging of completed orders in designated storage areas for transport.
Safety: Promotes safety when moving shopping carts and shopping flatbeds around a busy environment; keeping aisles clean and placing picked goods securely to prevent falling.

Skills and Qualifications
Customer-Focused: Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) and a commitment to ensuring high-quality customer service with a can-do attitude.
Physical & Mental Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy items up to 50 lbs, capable of dealing with high volume foot traffic, great team player, and maintain professional and friendly outcomes even in stressful situations.
Attention to Detail: High accuracy in selecting the correct goods and quantities.
Tech Savviness: Proficiency with smart phones, possible inventory apps, computers and comfortable with AI or willing to learn.
Time Management: Organized to meet tight delivery schedules with a hands-on approach in a fast paced environment.
Relationship Management: Ability to build a friendly and professional rapport with internal and external stakeholders; such as retail store employees, management, supply teams, pick & pack teams, dispatchers, drivers and the general public.

Hours of Work and Compensation
Regular start time is at 9:00AM at either Bayers Lake or Dartmouth Crossing location.
Flexibility is required as work schedules vary from 20 hours up to 30 hours per week. The position may lead into full-time 40 hours per week and occasional weekend work in the future, should the employee be interested in extra hours.
Wages for Labourer: $18 to $20 per hour, with a 4 hour daily minimum.
Wages for Manager: $21 to $25 per hour; with a 4 hour daily minimum.
A Health and Dental plan is available after 6 months of continuous employment for management.

Criminal Record Check
Class 5 drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle
Capable to move between locations in a safe and timely manner
